Biography
Member of the National Union of Theatre Workers of Ukraine and the National All-Ukrainian Music Union. Laureate of numerous international music festivals.
Creative Director of the Youth Arts Festival Muzychna Toloka, Director of the Partner Music-Making Festival for sister cities, and Director of the All-Ukrainian competitions Burshtynovi Notky and I Love Ukraine, as well as of the International Festival Musical Regensburg. Member of the international jury of the Children’s Arts Festivals Summer Magic and We Are the 21st Century (Albena, Bulgaria), member of the international jury of the Children’s and Youth Song Festival Notes of Friendship (Hajnówka, Poland), and permanent jury member of the children’s pop song contest Volodymyr in Volodymyr-Volynskyi. Recognised as the winner of the open popularity rating Pride of the City in Rivne as Best Composer and Arranger (2003), and as Best Children’s Composer in Lviv (2007). Awarded distinctions of the Regional Council and the City Executive Committee, as well as a certificate of honour from the 43rd President of the United States, Bill Clinton.
His creative output includes the children’s opera Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, the musical Koza-Dereza (based on the opera by M. Lysenko), symphonic and chamber works, music for 17 stage productions and 6 films, and more than 300 songs.
