The editorial board of the journal Notes on Art Criticism strives to ensure transparency and objectivity at all stages of the publication process. To this end, it actively responds to complaints and appeals from authors, reviewers, or other interested parties, and takes the necessary steps to resolve them.

 

Complaints

A complaint is an appeal to the editorial office regarding violations of publication ethics or other issues arising during the preparation of articles for publication. All complaints will be reviewed by the editorial board of the journal in a timely and professional manner. If you wish to submit a complaint, it should be:

• clear and specific;
• contain sufficient evidence to support the violation of publication ethics;
• be accompanied by documents supporting your claim (if available). Complaints should be sent to the email address info@artnotes.com.ua. The editorial board guarantees that all complaints will be reviewed within thirty working days. In complex cases, additional time may be required to complete the investigation.

If the complaint is submitted in an offensive, threatening, or defamatory manner, the editorial board will not investigate and will refuse to consider such claims. The journal will also respond to personal complaints regarding authors, editors, or reviewers by explaining why the complaint does not fall within the journal's responsibility.

 

Appeals

An appeal is the process of challenging the editorial or reviewer decision regarding the publication of an article. It is submitted if the author or other participants in the publication process disagree with the decision made at any stage of the publication process (e.g., manuscript rejection after review).

The editorial board of the journal is committed to responding promptly and constructively to all appeals, reviewing each specific case with consideration of ethical standards and recommendations from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Appeals must be clear, well-reasoned, and include facts that can justify a change in the decision. If you wish to submit an appeal, please send it to the email address info@artnotes.com.ua.

The editorial board will review the appeal within thirty working days, but additional time may be required for a more detailed investigation.

All appeals and complaints will be carefully reviewed, and decisions will be made in accordance with the principles of publication ethics and the editorial policy of the journal.
