Anti-plagiarism Policy

The journal Notes on Art Criticism emphasises the importance of adhering to high ethical standards in scientific publishing, particularly concerning the originality of submitted materials. Authors are fully responsible for the correct use of others' research, proper citation of sources, and the absence of plagiarism in their work.

Originality of materials

Authors must submit only original manuscripts that have not been previously published in other journals, regardless of language. All articles should be written without violating copyright and must contain accurate references to the sources used.

Detection of plagiarism

To ensure the originality of materials, the journal uses the iThenticate software, which checks submitted manuscripts for textual borrowing from both local databases and the Internet. The results of this check are carefully analysed by the editorial board.

Plagiarism policy

The journal does not accept articles where plagiarism is detected. All cases of violations are thoroughly examined, and the editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts depending on the level of originality:

  • If the manuscript's originality is above 85%, the material will be considered for review.
  • If the originality is between 75% and 85%, authors will be asked to revise the manuscript with recommendations to address textual borrowings.
  • If the originality is less than 75%, the manuscript will not be accepted for review.
  • Additionally, no more than 3% of plagiarism from a single source is permitted.

Consequences of violations

Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and considered a serious violation of scientific ethics, which may result in the immediate rejection of the article and sanctions against the authors. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will conduct an investigation and contact the author to resolve the situation.

The editorial board of Notes on Art Criticism strictly adheres to the standards of publication ethics and guarantees that all articles will be checked for compliance with the principles of originality and academic integrity.
