Open Access Policy

The journal Notes on Art Criticism is an open-access publication, which means that all its content is freely available to all users and institutions without the need to pay any fees. All materials in the journal are openly accessible without restrictions in the form of paid subscriptions or access fees.

 

Access rights

All publications in the journal are available for free reading, downloading, copying, and distribution. This ensures that scientific research can be accessed by a wider audience, promoting the dissemination of knowledge and its use in scientific, educational, and professional fields. Publications will be permanently available, in line with the principles of open access.

 

User rights

The journal grants users the right to reuse the materials under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license allows others to copy, distribute, modify, and adapt articles, create new works based on them, and use the materials for commercial purposes. It is important that any reuse is properly attributed to the original publication via the DOI and includes mention of the license. Additionally, if changes have been made to the original material, this must be indicated, and the author should not be falsely associated with these changes or uses.

 

Author rights

Authors retain all copyright to their articles, which includes the right to use their works for scholarly purposes. Notes on Art Criticism only acquires the rights to publish, distribute, and provide access to the material. This ensures that authors maintain control over their work, allowing them to retain their rights for scholarly use while permitting others to use the work under the terms of the CC BY license.

 

Full-text access

All articles in the journal are available in full text and are stored in the journal’s archive. This complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative, which defines open access as a publication available freely to all users via the internet without financial barriers. The journal’s archive provides convenient access to all publications and allows researchers, students, and other interested parties to use the materials for further research and study.
